Music Review: Word Gets Around

This album is the outstanding debut of Stereophonics, an occurence readily depheriable because of its raw sound. That sound is a large part of the songs' charm though. Who wants a completely polished rock star? Out of the 12 songs there at least six are what I'd call "good." Quite an accomplishment this day and age. My favorite is "A Thousand Trees." The chorus is a bit of a drag, but the verses are simply amazing. I'm simply amazed at the rate at which Kelly Jones sings. Words pile on words. If you're looking for some really good British punk/rock, be sure to give this album a try.
